Summer is all gone so here we go back to our roots: Studio Martin. The club is reopening on 19th of September with Anyplace.ro 2 Years Anniversary. Guests are Alex Meshkov from Deepmix, Mara and 2 Crazy Bastards, entrance is 20 ron before midnight and 30 ron after. A new Studio Martin, quality music, new soundsystem. And there you have it! All the reasons to party. Looking back to the Get Physical 6 Years Anniversary at Watergate, I remember I couldn't leave the dance floor while Jona was playing upstairs and happened the same with Einzelkind downstairs. While I have until 25th of October to check Einzelkind at Studio Martin, I can be damn happy to be able to check Jona again tomorrow at Rex and Saturday, 20th of September, home, at Studio Martin. If I wouldn't be the type of girl that comes back from the club with just half of her bag, I would take the camera and record some videos for you to have a preview of a perfect techno night with Jona. Ozgur Can at Studio Martin in May

Ozgur Can will be the guest of the Official After Hours Party on the 17th of May at Studio Martin. On that date, The Mission presents Booka Shade's The Sun and The Neon Light Tour in a tent at the great outdoor venue, Arenele Romane. The event has guests like Booka Shade [live], Lopazz [live] and Livio & Roby and you can get pre-sale tickets here.

Usually the after hours parties at Studio Martin kick off at 5 a.m., straight after lights are out at The Mission, and have local DJs to play. But this is an exception, cause this will be a magic night! So say hello to Ozgur Can for the 17th of May!

Jona is missing the gig on Friday

I have a good news and a bad news. Should I start with the good one? No way, let's try the bad one first: Jona will miss his gig at Studio Martin on Friday, 25th of April. Jona was suppose to play at an event where he was invited alongside DJ T. and Roby. Because he has a flu and his doctor recomended him to stay in bed, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience and publish this message from his side. His show will be re-scheduled for autumn.

Thomas Koch, co-founder of Get Physical, a well known and respected DJ and producer, came out on the music scene under the name of DJ T many years ago. He is also the co-founder of Monza, which became one of the greatest party brands if you are talking about techno.

JONA [Get Physical]

Jona's sound is shaping from Detroit techno to a more modern sophisticated house feeling. Eclectism is a master-word for him. He's always trying to explore new ways of sounding and takes the advantages of any musical style he listens to. In the past few years, he s released 11 maxis on vinyl, on labels like Get Physical, Resopal, Fumakilla, Toys for Boys, Strobe Music and some remixes for M.A.N.D.Y., Booka Shade, David K, Daso, Soffy O, Junior Boys etc. Amongst them, two on the major record company Virgin-EMI. They both reached number 1 in the official German Dance Charts.

ROBY [Viva Music]
Part of Livio & Roby and Monochrome projects, Roby is by far one of the best producers of the moment in Romania. Robert Precup aka Roby is making music since he was 16 years old and nowadays, altogether with Livio managed to get under Steve Lawler's label, Viva Music. Their Monochrome project won both prizes, The Jury's Prize and The People's Choice, at the Global Sessions of Heineken Music Thirst Studio which tool place last year in Las Vegas. And that was just the beggining as thye just came back from WMC, where they were guests at Steve Lawler's Lights Out party at ParkWest and shared the DJ booth with him, Clive Henry, Audiofly and many others.

Livio & Roby's tracks have tracks released under labels like Viva Music, Supernurture, Definitive Records, Organized Nature, Solar Recordings, Whoop which have been featured on compilations released at Global Underground, Ministry of Sound, Azuli and Toolroom by artists like Steve Lawler, Hernan Cattaneo and Gabriel & Dresden.
Recently, after remixing U.N.K.L.E.'s Restless, Monochrome launched its first album called Children of House at the label Ido Music and Livio & Roby released the first LP, Speranta, at Viva Music, which includes nine tracks.
At the beggining of the year, Roby won the title Best Upcoming DJ of The Year at Nights.ro Awards 2008, after playing alongside names like Laurent Garnier, M.A.N.D.Y. and Steve Lawler, just to name a few. At the moment he's preparing with his colleagues and partners, Livio and George G, for the hottest period of the Romanian clubbing scene - 1st of May Sessions, where they will play as special guests at Club Gossip, alongside Sasha, Audiofly and Gabriel Ananda at La Mania Club and during day time at Kudos Beach. If you think you know enough, just wait and see!

If you haven't heard about Jona yet, you don't know what you lost. We are talking about an amazing tech house and techno producer that shake the dance floors everywhere in the world with his productions. He went under Get Physical Music label and his music fits there damn perfect. After listening to this promo mix I'm sure you'll go straight to Beatport to check his tunes as well.

Nights.ro Awards 2008

Last day without knowing the results of the Nights.ro Awards 2008.

Without any doubt, Nights.ro Awards are the most important event of the year on the clubbing scene in Romania. All the DJs, VJs, producers, promoters, agents, sponsors, artworkers, club owners work the whole year and they are waiting for the start of the new one so they can see how much love they have from the public side.

It's all about the public in the end of it all. And no matter what are you doing during the year, Nights.ro Awards is about "doing it well". Tonight we are all looking forward for the Nights.ro @ WTP with Special Guest - Samim (live) feat Miguel Toro.






We, The Mission and Studio Martin, as brands, been rewarded many times already at the last year's awards. This is year we are nominee again at many cathegories, but since it's the first time I represent this two brands in front of the clubbers, it's the first time when Nights.ro Awards really matters and I'm very nervous about the results.

Studio Martin is nominee as the Best Club in Romania in 2007 and many parties entered the category Best Club Party in Romania. The Mission is nominee as Best Events Organizer and, as well, its events are included in the Best Event of 2007 - such as The Chemical Brothers @ Sala Polivalenta, Deep Dish @ Arenele Romane etc.

My boys, Livio & Roby, are nominee at the following categories: Livio for Best DJ, Roby for Best Upcoming DJ (since he started to play alone at the end of 2006), Livio & Roby as Biggest Name to Represent Romania outside the country, Monochrome (Livio & Roby feat George G) winning track of Heineken Music Thirst Studio 2007, Pearl, is included as Best Romanian Track of the Year and a couple of their sets - such as Monochrome live @ Nights.ro 6 Years Anniversary Party and Monochrome - Children of House FWD 01 Album Launch @ Studio Martin for the Romanian Set of the Year or Best Club Party. Unfortunately, even if they win or not at any category, Livio & Roby are in Miami playing at the Winter Music Conference, along names like Steve Lawler, Clive Henry, Jamie Jones and Audiofly at the Viva Music party and on the terrace of Stereo Club. So George G will be tonight, at the Awards, waiting for Nights.ro to announce its winners this year.
