Studio Martin Re-Opening Madness

Summer is all gone so here we go back to our roots: Studio Martin. The club is reopening on 19th of September with Anyplace.ro 2 Years Anniversary. Guests are Alex Meshkov from Deepmix, Mara and 2 Crazy Bastards, entrance is 20 ron before midnight and 30 ron after. The special night that I'm waiting for so long is the second of the reopening weekend, Saturday 20th of September. Info?

Saturday 20th of September
starting 11 pm - ending whenever the party stops
so...Let's Get Physical!

JONA [Get Physical | Fumakilla]
DJUMA SOUNDSYSTEM [Get Physical]
LIVIO & ROBY [Viva Music | Fumakilla]
GEORGE G [Monochrome | FWD Agency]

Entrace? (now that's a special one!)
- free entry for girls all night long;
- for guys - 20 ron before midnight | 30 ron after

A new Studio Martin, quality music, new soundsystem. And there you have it! All the reasons to party. Looking back to the Get Physical 6 Years Anniversary at Watergate, I remember I couldn't leave the dance floor while Jona was playing upstairs and happened the same with Einzelkind downstairs. While I have until 25th of October to check Einzelkind at Studio Martin, I can be damn happy to be able to check Jona again tomorrow at Rex and Saturday, 20th of September, home, at Studio Martin. If I wouldn't be the type of girl that comes back from the club with just half of her bag, I would take the camera and record some videos for you to have a preview of a perfect techno night with Jona. Meanwhile, you can always check this out:

And of course, don't you dare miss the Studio Martin party. I'll be back with more info, but you can check out Studio Martin's website and myspace, Wilde or Get Physical for more news. Keep this on your calendar.

Fumakilla 027 / Livio & Roby

Various Artists Volume 1 // FUMAKILLA 027

Autotune: Balou Balou is a deep mental track with funky groove and dark sounds scapes. There is a hypnotic theme with freakier synths to blow up your mind, perfectly suitable for the open air season. Noir: Super skunk ? Livio & Roby Remix We welcome a new member in the Fumakilla family: Livio & Roby from the hot east connection Romania. The two smart guys remixed the Noir Track Super Skunk, which is actually voted for the best Remix in South Eastern Europe. This track is a funky summer groovemonster with soul and deepness while some highly seductive bass slaps with juicy vocal snips create this very spezial gypsy feeling.

Why is World of Warcraft...

a way of life for a girl? Not only that in the game most of the people don’t even think I am a girl, the ones that do are pretty sure I look like hell, I’m a bloody freak and have no friends. When did MMORPG games became a “boys only”? That’s very frustrating! So dear all, I’m not ashamed to go out on the street, I’m normal enough (depends what this means for any of you) and have loads of friends. So whoever things anything else it’s just as stupid as a level 70 warrior equipped with a staff with +15 spell damage and enchanted with +30 intellect.

I love games and World of Warcraft is already a way of life for me. Played and loved Diablo, Fable, Dreamfall, Black and White and I hate Second Life (kept me in front of the PC for just 30 minutes).
As I have already friends that are into WoW as much as I am, so my free weekends sound more like “Hey! How are you? Get your arse online!” and not “Hey! How are you? Let’s grab a beer out”.
At the moment my main characters are a warrior called Loredana and a warlock called Lorisica. Since they are on separate accounts and at home we have 2 PCs but 3 WoW addicted players, I usually am “forced” to choose between them.
I like the warrior that is level but gotta agree that my favorite is the warlock, except my rogue and my priest, of course.
With other words, see you on Aerie Peak. As a friend said, “there is no real life, there is only afk”. Ha!

Net28 - album launched in 2007

short presentation of NET28's master piece compilation simply named 1, which features all NET28 stars: alex under, tadeo, damian schwartz, pilas...
defo one of the best compilations i heard lately - very deep, dark, but in the same time sexy - looking forward to rock the dance floor while alex and tadeo are spinning this tracks! viva el spanish techno <3
special thanks to jose @ NET28 for the words and the amazing shooting with the boys that made me laugh until i had tears in my eyes:

Tracklist:

01. From Karaoke to Stardom
02. Kevin Gorman
03. Tadeo
04. Damian Schwartz
05. Alex Under
06. Pilas
07. Friendly People
08. Hieroglyphic Being
09. Menisco
10. Circunbalation
11. Nate Fisher

Oh yeah!!! Finally!! The first NET28 compilation, “1”, with all our big stars & friends in a petit reunion. The first release from NET28, the label that embraces the efforts of Apnea, CMYKmusik, Cyclical Tracks and Mupa, in a series of compilations that will not stop, is an incredible collection of unreleased tracks. A project masterminded by the ones who run the business: Alex Under, Damian Schwartz, Tadeo & Imek.

What we have here is a deep journey that begins in Madrid (with all the usual suspects) and lands in France (From Karaoke To Stardom), UK (Kevin Gorman), USA (Hyeroglyphic Being) and Georgia (Nate Fisher). Every track is a must, a hit, a fucking brilliant sum of influences and new horizons. Techno in all its colours and forms, developing from the most atmospheric to the funkiest and darkest, paying due respects to Detroit, Cologne and Berlin, but reemerging as something totally new and fresh, as only our artists know how to do. An statement to celebrate our unique voice & groove.

From Karaoke to Stardom and his futuristic groove to the limit; Kevin Gorman bringing back all the funk in a compulsive rhythm adventure; Tadeo showing his most merciless face with a enormous stomper; Damian Schwartz rethinking the future and discovering new grounds with a massive rocking synth orgy; Alex Under and his unique way of understanding & producing music; Pilas going smooth and dreamy in a classic techno manner; Friendly People (aka Alex Under) turning off the lights and submerging us into a frighting odyssey; Hieroglyphic Being and Detroit is back as innovative as ever; Mensico (Pilas&Sintec) working it in a moody and heartless manner; Circunbalation (aka Tadeo) going eternal and delivering a timeless killer, possibly his biggest track till date; and finally Nate Fisher, with all the sophistication of the best house music.

Anything you want is here, and much more you could ever imagine...

How foggy I am lately...

I know I didn't had much time to post lately even though I had a lot of ideas. The truth is I'm a bit tired after The Mission Dance Weekend. The event was great, we had like 10.000 people on the first night with Trentemoller live in concert, Roger Sanchez, Livio & Roby, Negru and Pagal and 30.000 people on the second one with Fatboy Slim, Timo Maas, Rosario & Eftimie and Negru. And because I'm one little greedy cat, after working so much 3 days in a row, I couldn't miss my dear Philipp and Patrick from M.A.N.D.Y. at La Mania. And neither the beach party next day on Kudos Beach. Greedy, greedy, I'm telling u! Trentemoller was by far the revelation of the year for me, amazing act. And Fatboy was fun, as usual, still have Bob Marley's Could You Be Loved in my mind, the track he end up his set with.

Not only that I'm still half retard (aka sleepy all the time, not in the mood for anything and acting like a little robot), but I'm already working on the new events. Short version is that we're having a new The Mission in October with a trance DJ (can't tell u which one, of course) and Studio Martin is opening its doors on the 20th of September with 2 special guests that I am really looking forward to seeing. Plus we're totally changing the club and it will be amazing! I know it!

The line up for Studio Martin until the end of the year it's so amazing that I really want the summer to pass by faster and faster. In August I'll go check out Booka Shade and Loco Dice at La Mania (won't miss Loco for nothing in the world) and probably the new Romanian Creamfields as we're taking Shlomi Aber there. Hope it will be good fun.

So until Autumn comes with great news from Studio Martin and The Mission I'll keep posting interesting news (for me, of course).

PS: Pictures from The Mission Dance Weekend down here ;)

Take care and rave safe my lovely ones!

* the stage before the madness began *

* with Georgi before the show, getting a bit sun burned, of course *

* Anders Trentemoller, Henrik, Mikael and their fan *

* Fatboy Slim *

* the crowd*

* oh yeah! *

How was The Mission Dance Weekend for Trentemoller and his band

In the images of a video of course. The guys took a camera with them at the last gigs and the result is this:
