On the top 10 picks, near DC 10, Amnesia and Space Ibiza, Panorama Bar Berlin and Womb Tokyo, we find Studio Martin, Bucharest. Being on the 4th positions leads us to nothing but saying a HUGE THANK YOU to all the clubbers that contributed to the amazing vibe at our events during all these years.

We can't find the perfect words to describe what this awards means to us, specially considering that the votes come from you. For some in Bucharest, Kristal Glam Club's got it all, but in recent years it's been the centrally located Studio Martin that's been pulling in the biggest name DJs to its cozy 400-capacity environs. Whether playing host to Claude VonStroke, Laurent Garnier, or even PVMFD, this weekday cinema has been transformed into a weekend home for some of the world's finest electronic music (just don't tell the Kristal diehards). RA takes home a Webby

Yes, I know Abba is not that fun nowadays, but I dedicated its track to RA.

By far the best electronic music related website in the world, RA is rewarded this year with a Webby. I've voted them (of course) and never thought, not even for one second, that they won't be the winners. So congratulations guys and keep it up!
Here's RA's way of thanking all of you. :)


Thanks to your votes, RA has won a People's Voice trophy in this year's Webby Awards.
The Webbys are the Internet version of the Grammys or the Oscars, so it's a real honour to be nominated, let alone take away a prize. In 2008 the Webbys received 10,000 entries from over 60 countries, of which five were nominated in each category. Resident Advisor managed to beat the competition and take away the People's Voice trophy in the music category, edging out big boys such as BBC Radio 1 and Pink Floyd.
All that's left to do now is think of an acceptance speech, which in the Webby tradition is limited to five words. Now you've voted, the only thing left to do is make some suggestions - at the moment all we can think of is "We're gushing like Halle Berry" and "Nobody listens to techno, huh?"

Johnny D Mix

I've discovered Johnny D last year, but really got into his music as soon as Riddim Mood was released. This is a podcast of Get The Curse from 28th of April which had Johnny D as guest. Listen to it or download it here.

And no, I didn't wrote about his mix in the blog cause it has Riddim Mood as well, but the mix is really amazing. It's a mixture of deep house with techno that kicks off with some amazing percussions, a bit tribal I might say. One of the top mixes I have listened to lately, so enjoy it!
